Valparaiso Battery Backup & Power Storage

Battery Backup for Every Valparaiso Home

Whether your Valparaiso home was built in the 1950s or finished last year, battery backup is a smart addition — and the path to getting there is a little different depending on your home's age. For newer homes with modern electrical panels, a battery system can often be added straightforwardly. For older homes that are planning a panel upgrade, battery backup is a natural next step — add it while the electricians are already there and your home gets a complete modernization in one project.

Banner Electric installs whole-home battery backup systems throughout Valparaiso and Porter County. These systems kick in automatically during outages, charge from the grid or from solar, and require no fuel or maintenance. Our licensed electricians design every system around your home's specific needs and critical loads.

Battery Backup Services in Valparaiso

• Whole-home battery backup installation — Keep critical loads running automatically during outages: sump pumps, refrigerators, HVAC, medical equipment, and lights.
• Panel upgrade + battery backup — For older Valparaiso homes, we coordinate both services in one project so your home is upgraded and protected at the same time.
• Solar battery integration — Store excess solar energy for use during outages or peak rate hours. Ideal for homeowners with existing or planned solar arrays.
• Critical circuit configuration — We design your backup system to prioritize the loads that matter most to your household.
• Commercial battery storage — Reduce demand charges and keep your Valparaiso business running during outages. Scalable systems for offices, retail, and restaurants.
• Generator + battery hybrid systems — The battery handles short outages silently; the generator handles extended events. Together, they cover every scenario.
• System monitoring & ongoing support — Most modern systems include app-based monitoring. We configure everything and are here when you need us.
• Free in-home consultation — We assess your home, your loads, and your goals before recommending any system. No pressure, just good information.

Why Valparaiso Trusts Banner Electric for Battery Backup

Battery backup is modern technology, but it takes an experienced electrician to install it right — especially in an older home with wiring and panels that need to be brought up to current standards first. Banner Electric has been doing this kind of work across Northwest Indiana for over 60 years. We know how to assess a home honestly and recommend what it actually needs.

We work with homeowners in newer subdivisions and in homes that have been standing since the postwar era. Whatever your starting point, we'll get your home to a place where power outages are a minor inconvenience instead of a serious problem. Serving Valparaiso, Portage, Chesterton, Hebron, and all of Porter County.
