Goshen Generator Installation & Service
Authorized Kohler, Cummins & Briggs & Stratton dealer providing standby generator installation and service for homes in Goshen and nearby Elkhart, Middlebury, and New Paris.
Generator Installation for Goshen Homes & Families
Goshen has a wide mix of homes — mid-century houses, established neighborhoods, and newer construction — and a standby generator is a smart investment for all of them. Older homes often need a panel upgrade as part of the installation, which we handle as part of one coordinated project. Newer homes get the peace of mind of knowing their investment is protected no matter what the grid does.
As an authorized Kohler, Cummins, and Briggs & Stratton dealer, we carry the most trusted names in residential standby power. Our licensed electricians manage the whole job: load calculation, sizing, installation, gas line coordination, permits, and final inspection. We also offer annual maintenance plans to keep your generator ready when you need it most.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much does a standby generator cost in Goshen?
Residential standby generators in Goshen typically range from $5,000 to $15,000 installed, depending on size and fuel source. If your home also needs a panel upgrade, we'll include that in the same quote. We provide free, no-obligation estimates for every project.
Do I need a permit for a generator in Elkhart County?
Yes, generator installations in Goshen and Elkhart County require electrical and gas permits. Banner Electric handles all permitting and inspections as part of the installation — you don't have to manage any of it.
How long does generator installation take?
Most residential generator installations in Goshen are completed in one to two days. If a panel upgrade is needed, we schedule both together to minimize disruption. We'll give you a clear timeline before work begins.
What size generator do I need for my Goshen home?
The right size depends on your critical loads — HVAC, refrigerator, sump pump, medical equipment, and whatever else matters most to your household.
