Your Home, Our Priority
Electrical That Just Works
Outdated wiring, overloaded panels, and growing power demands put your home at risk. Between EV chargers, battery systems, home offices, and smart devices, today's homes draw more power than ever — and most older electrical systems weren't built for it. You need a licensed electrician you can trust.
Banner Electric has been keeping homes safe and powered across South Bend, Elkhart, Warsaw, Goshen, Mishawaka, LaPorte, Rochester, Knox, and Logansport for over 60 years. We handle everything from simple repairs to full panel upgrades, battery backup installs, EV charger wiring, and standby generators — always to code, always done right.

Common Questions
Residential Electrical FAQ
How do I know if my panel needs an upgrade?
If your home has a 100-amp panel, Federal Pacific or Zinsco brand breakers, frequently tripping breakers, or you're adding an EV charger or battery system — it's time for an upgrade. We'll assess your current setup during a free site visit.
How long does an EV charger install take?
Most Level 2 charger installations are completed in half a day. If your panel needs an upgrade first, we'll schedule both together and usually finish in one full day.
Do you work on older homes?
Absolutely. We specialize in updating older electrical systems — knob-and-tube replacement, panel upgrades, and bringing wiring up to current code. We've been doing it for 60 years.
Do you pull permits?
Yes. We handle all electrical permits and coordinate inspections for every job that requires them. It's included in our quote.
What areas do you serve?
We're based in Plymouth, IN and serve a 40-mile radius including South Bend, Elkhart, Warsaw, Rochester, Knox, Logansport, and the surrounding lake communities.
Do you offer financing?
