Charge Smarter at Home
EV Charger Installation
Level 2 home charging installed by licensed electricians. Wake up to a full charge every morning — no more trips to public charging stations.
Why Home EV Charging?
Charge at Home, Save Everywhere
Home charging is 3–5x cheaper than public charging stations and far more convenient. Plug in when you get home, wake up fully charged. No detours, no waiting, no app juggling. It's the simplest upgrade you can make as an EV owner.
Most electric vehicles only need a Level 2 (240V) charger for overnight charging. Banner Electric handles the full installation — panel capacity check, dedicated circuit, charger mounting, permit, and inspection — for homeowners across South Bend, Elkhart, Warsaw, and all of northern Indiana. Over 60 years of doing electrical work the right way.

Common Questions
EV Charger Installation FAQ
How long does an EV charger install take?
Most Level 2 installations are completed in 3–5 hours. If a panel upgrade is needed, we may schedule a second visit.
Do I need a panel upgrade for an EV charger?
Not always. If your panel has available capacity for a 40–50A circuit, we can install directly. If not, we'll quote a panel upgrade alongside the charger.
Can I install a charger outdoors?
Yes. We install weather-rated chargers and NEMA-rated enclosures for outdoor use. Conduit is sealed and protected.
What charger brands do you install?
We're brand-agnostic and install Tesla Wall Connector, ChargePoint Home Flex, Grizzl-E, JuiceBox, Emporia, and more. We recommend the best fit for your vehicle.
Are there tax credits or rebates for EV chargers?
Yes. The federal Alternative Fuel Vehicle Refueling Property Credit offers up to $1,000 for residential installations. Some Indiana utilities offer additional rebates.
Can you install multiple chargers for a multi-car household?
Absolutely. We can install load-sharing solutions so two chargers share one circuit, or run separate dedicated circuits if your panel supports it.
